we have this recurring question on number ranges:
Integration Landscape: ECC - PI - C4C.
Number range is same for Customer, Prospects, Bill-to, ship-to & Payer in ECC.
Only Internal number assignment in ECC, do not want to created External assignment in ECC.
Want same number range for Prospects in C4C.
We have maintained in C4C config. in Fine-Tune activity 'Integration of Business Partner Data from Your Cloud Solution to SAP ERP' the same number range as it is for Prospects in ECC and also maintained the current number of Prospect within same number range but with a buffer of 300K as compared to ECC.
With this, when we create a Prospect in C4C, it picks up the External ID from the current number maintained in C4C for Prospect so the External Id generates in C4C and this Prospects replicates to ECC with the External Id generated in C4C - This creates a Prospect in ECC with the same number as the External ID it got from C4C.
Customer wants to know why the External Id does not pick up the ID from ECC system for Prospect replication from C4C to ECC?
